WELCOME TO CMEMS-2018

We would like to welcome you to C-MEMS 2018 International Conference that will be hosted jointly by San Diego State University (SDSU) in California and CETYS in Baja California between June 10 - 12, 2018. San Diego which is renowned for its idyllic climate throughout the year, miles and miles of pristine beaches, and laid-back southern California life-style will host events of June 10, 11, and morning of June 12, 2018 while CETYS (Centro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superio) and CEID (Center for Innovation and Design) will host the events of the afternoon and evening of June 12, 2018.

We are honored to host this increasingly impactful Conference series that was started by Marc Madou in 2014. As the C-MEMS community grows in reach and depth, we want to frame the theme of C-MEMS 2018 to expanding the frontiers of C-MEMS where we encourage presentation of research outcomes in other carbon allotropes such as graphene, Q-carbon, and diamond. Further, we would like to see this conference promote newer application areas for C-MEMS in areas like in-vivo and ex-vivo sensing, electrochemical signal sensing, and advanced multi-layer lithography processes.

We believe that this conference will offer an excellent platform for sharing the latest advances in academia and the industry in the growing C-MEMS area. We will have leading C-MEMS researchers around the world (Korea, Japan, Germany, Italy, India, Malaysia, Mexico, US, Canada, etc) deliver key-notes and updates on their research programs.

We hope that the hosting of the events in two neighboring institutions will help us strengthen the bridge-building tradition that is a hallmark of academia. We also hope that you will enjoy the excellent climate of southern California and our numerous touristic attractions during and after the conference. We will go to any lengths to make all and every participant to feel at home. Your participation, expertise and knowledge that you will bring are most welcome and much appreciated.
